The annual safety briefing often ends as a signature under a PDF that nobody has read, and when it really matters it is unclear who actually understood the topic. Paul takes on the briefing as a conversation: he guides each employee through the required topic in dialogue, asks comprehension questions during the session and records who passed.
Paul starts with the list of required briefing topics and the employee list, plus access to a chat channel (Teams, for example) for the dialogue and a mailbox for scheduling and reminders.
From day one, the dialogue on the required topics runs, including comprehension questions and the register entry. Over the first few weeks the backlog becomes visible: who has not had a briefing for a long time and who misses one, so it can be caught up in an orderly way.
